"MR. SMITH GOES TO HUNGARY"
Actually I am using only a colorful movie title
where Jimmy Stewart starred . The subject matter is the future
international consolidation strategy of the fragmented water
service industry. For the first time Wall Street is courting
Hungary.
There are 50,000 water systems in the U.S. and the largest
American water company , Aqua America has grown by acquisitions.
The business is anybody’s envy. In the year 2004 , $442
Million in revenue brought in Net Income of $80 Million and
a market cap of $3.5 Billion. Not bad for a company which
services 835,000 customers and nets $500 per customer per
year. Each customer is valued at almost $50 per person.
Apart from the two famous French giants Suez and Vivendi
there aren’t many cross country acquisitions. However,
they have money. Vivendi even bought up Hollywood and Suez
one half of Europe’s utilities.
All from water. Paraphrasing President Clinton the "
cash flow comes from you and me."
Here comes a new concept, a new company Hendrix (HDRX-BB).
A Chinese manufactured stand alone machine creates water from
fresh air. We start with 16 gallons a day to be upgraded to
25 gallons. Everything you will need in your apartment, townhouse,
office or home. All in one unit which is clean, safe and easy
to use.
BINGO. It costs less than 20% of bottled water .
Why Hungary? Hungary has well organized distribution system
for every kind of bottled water. It is moving up in the European
Union and the combination of the Hendrix product with an established
water company can be listed on the Budapest Stock Exchange.
As a financial officer of the company I am negotiating with
a Cayman Island based company and have begun to talk to Hungarians.
With financial backing Hungary’s neighbor , the Ukraine
, Belarus and Romania have 10 times the population and ten
times the need for clean water.
Let us face it . I am preaching international water deliveries
in the 21st Century.
If Marie Antoinette would be alive she would say " Let
them drink water ".
